Use PDF as the format for your e-books
"What is the easiest type of eBook to use? And is also user friendly for the reader."
There are a number of e-book formats available, but I still think that Adobe Acrobat's Portable Document Format (PDF) is the best. It works on PCs and Macs, doesn't require the user to "install" the e-book (some other formats do!); and doesn't get blocked by virus checkers.
There are some good reasons to use other formats in certain situations. But they are generally less user-friendly. If you're planning to write and sell e-books, the last thing you want is to spend all your time supporting customers who can't open their e-book!
